Functions Chair - Kelly Gallagher
Kelly is in her third year of uni and is the functions chair. She gets to organise all the really fun things, like the infamous GUAPS Ball. She is currently working very hard to organise a plan for this years ball to make sure it's the best one to date and is a well deserved celebration for everyone making it through the year (or what feels like a decade) that was! Kelly is also in charge of running networking events for GUAPS members and the pharmacy faculty members.
Internal Communications Chair - Emma O'Donnell
Emma is your Internal Communications Chair for 2020. This is a new position this year and as such is able to create the role into a position on the committee that fills some gaps not requiring their own specific role. So far she's in charge of running the new and improved website and generally helping people out with exciting things the committee is working on. She's in her second year of her B.Pharm and is keen to see what the rest of the year entails for GUAPS and her studies.
Pharmacy Awareness Chair - Nicole Barreto
Nicole is GUAPS's Pharmacy Awareness Chair for 2020. She is here to promote the many health campaigns GUAPS takes part in. She is involved with organising Charity Cup, Vampire Cup and other fundraising activities. Each year NAPSA chooses a charity to raise funds for and this year we have dedicated funds for the Autoimmune Resource and Research Centre!
Publications Chair - Michelle Ngo
Michelle is your Publications Chair for GUAPS 2020 and she's super keen to be onboard. She is currently in her 2nd Year of Bachelor of Pharmacy. In her role, she keeps everyone updated via regular Facebook and Instagram posts! Make sure you're following the accounts for notifications on upcoming events!
Rural, Indigenous and International Students (RANDI) Chair - Ashten Colosimo
Ashten is your Rural, Indigenous and International student representative. She is an international student from Canada who is in her 4th year of B.Pharm. In this position Ashten is tasked with the role of ensuring students who are from these backgrounds are adequately represented within the committee and ensuring that there is education provided to GUAPS members within these areas. Usually this role would see her organising a trip to visit a rural or regional pharmacy but she is now working on a plan to ensure there is still a valuable experience for students but in an online manner.
Social Chair - Nikki Schwarzenegger
Nikki is the social chair and is tasked with the responsibility of helping organise and run the Charity Cup and Vampire Cup with NAPSA. She works closely with other committee members to ensure that there are events for students to interact both within their cohort and other students within the school.
